At your door (2006)There's no doubt that living in a small northern town has left an indelible mark on Yael's music. Still, At Your Door journeys from her own backyard and wanders the territories of the human heart: from the home of a moonshine maker to an exotic mid-eastern market, from the prayers of a lonely traveler to the promising return of spring. Antinomy (2004) Antinomy is the necessity of contradictions, the force that fastens life together and thrusts it apart. In her first full length solo album, Yael weaves together a collection of original songs that is refreshing, perceptive, and haunting. Antinomy speaks of the turbulence that life ignites between our personal truths and the stories unfolding around us. More Info

Midnight Sun (1999) The contemporary folk trio of Perpetuum - Yael Wand, Daniel Lindenberger and Christina Zaenker - was a regular feature on many stages in Vancouver between 1997-2000. In 1998, the trio began working with Sam Ryan to produce a nine-track album, Midnight Sun. In 1999, even before the album was released, the title track was awarded second place in the folk category of the Centre for Digital Imaging and Sound's (now the Art Institute of Vancouver) song-writing competition. The album featured the trio's unique instrumental arrangements and signature heavenly harmonies: Yael on vocals and guitar, Daniel on vocals, guitar, water-bottle drum and piano, and Christina on vocals and cello.More Info

Canoe Songs II (2006) It's no wonder really, living just down the road from Bowron Lake Provincial Park, home to one of Canada's most spectacularly breathtaking canoe circuits (116km of pristine lakes, rivers and portages), that the place would eventually find its way into one or two of Yael's songs. Funny thing is that Canoesongs II, which includes 14 songs by Canadian roots musicians (nine of which were written specifically for the album), has two songs about Bowron Lakes. Curious yet? That park really did change my life, and I count the days until I can set boat in the waters again and paddle off into the distance, away from the life.s craziness and into a week of solitude, simplicity and campfire cooking. Add a little humour and some romance and that's what Canoesongs II is about.

Let It Snow Too (2006) "A Celebration of Canadian Winter" - Sixteen original songs musing on Canada's coldest, darkest, possibly most romantic season. The album is the brainchild of Calgary doctor and musician Dr. J and includes the likes of James Hill, Steve Slade, John Wort Hannam and many more artists from Yukon to Quebec. Thematically and musically Yael's Feast of Winter is well suited inspiration for contemplating our glorious and lengthy winters.

Grrrls With Guitars (2005) For a long time now, GwG has been Vancouver's steady showcase for female singer songwriters. This album is not the first, but the third compilation by GwG, featuring some of western Canada's best up 'n coming and established performing women. It's a real honour then, that Yael's It's Raining Again was included along side songs by Kim Barlow, Coco Love Alcorn, Po'Girl and so many other western talents. This album comes highly recommended. West Coast Christmas (2004) It's the gift that keeps singing. The crew: a handful of musically talented friends from in and around Vancouver. The assignment: in one November day, record two choral pieces and half a dozen tunes - originals and traditional songs for the holiday season. The location: the heavenly acoustic, wooden sanctuary of Dunbar Heights United Church. Feast of Winter was written mostly in the car between Kitchener, Ontario and Vancouver. Unfortunately, I lost my voice in Saskatchewan, so the song was written primarily in my head. By the time I reached Vancouver, I had one evening to recharge my voice, complete the song, and prepare to record it the next day. The New Year's ongoing festivities in Wells is the best way I have ever celebrated the end of 365 days, and I tried to capture some of that magic in Feast of Winter. West Coast Christmas Currently Not Available for Sale.

Island Mountain Arts - Almost Home (2004) Island Mountain Arts (IMA) is an arts organization close to my heart, and one of the reasons I moved north. Community-based non-profit arts groups in BC have taken a beating over the last few years, and IMA is no exception. Nonetheless, IMA rarely falters or looses sight of its crucial role for so many northern artists. This compilation features over a dozen musicians who have been touched by the community of IMA and Wells and likewise, have left their mark on the organization and the town. The CD features the likes of Rae Spoon, Doug Cox, David Essig, Ross Douglas, Murray Bowl, as well as Yael and many more.
